About This Song
About "Kenny's One" by Cecil Payne
A dedication with a wink, this tune bops with the energy of a inside joke shared among musicians. Payne's lines are crisp and knowing, each phrase a nod to a colleague or a moment. The warmth is palpable, but so is the precision—a portrait sketched in confident, affectionate strokes.
