About This Song
About "Don Giovanni, K. 527, Act II: Don Giovanni, a cenar teco (Live)" by Chor Der Bayerischen Staatsoper
Don Giovanni's descent into hell is rendered here as a choral abyss. The chorus intones the Commendatore's summons with terrifying calm, each syllable a stone dropped into darkness. Mozart's music tightens like a garrote—elegant, inevitable, and coldly amused by the libertine's final, unrepentant silence.
