About This Song
About "Dancing Doll (First Version)" by Art Adams
A first take, wobbly and alive, where the dancing doll spins on a dime of innocence and menace. Adams' vocal teeters between croon and yelp, the band shuffling behind like a carnival ride starting up. You hear the seams—and that's the charm, a puppet learning its own strings.
