About This Song
About "Old Maid" by Big Bopper
The Big Bopper spins a tale of spinsterhood with a sly grin, horns blaring like gossip. Behind the jaunty bounce lurks a poignant ache, the fear of being left on the shelf. It's a rock 'n' roll novelty with a bittersweet core, laughing to keep from crying.
