About This Song
About "Shaka" by Afric Simone
A martial drumbeat and a stern, chanting vocal evoke a warrior king's legacy. Simone builds tension through repetition, the rhythm marching forward like an army, while a shadow of defiance and tragedy haunts the triumphant horns.
