About "When The Saints Go Marching In" by Big Al Downing
Downing reclaims the spiritual with a stomping, piano-driven fervor, turning a funeral march into a parade. The saints don't glide—they strut, their footsteps a joyful racket against the solemnity of tradition. Here, salvation is a sweaty, syncopated shout.
