About This Song
About "Fantasía para un gentilhombre : Rodrigo: Fantasía para un gentilhombre: IV. Canario. Allegro ma non troppo" by Andrés Segovia
Rodrigo's 'Canario' is a Baroque dance with a modern wink. Segovia's guitar skips through the allegro with a twinkle in its eye, the melody hopping like a bird on hot sand. Underneath the buoyancy, though, there's a wistful harmonic shadow—a smile that doesn't quite reach the eyes.
