About This Song
About "Are You Happy?" by Alexander Skancke
A title posing an unanswerable question becomes a restless deep-house pulse, its vocal sample circling like a moth around a porchlight. Skancke balances shimmering pads against a nagging bassline, so the track feels both euphoric and faintly anxious—a smile that never quite reaches the eyes.
