About "Concerto for Oboe and Small Orchestra in D Major, AV 144, TrV 292 (Rev. Version) : R. Strauss: Concerto for Oboe and Small Orchestra in D Major, AV 144, TrV 292 (Rev. Version): I. Allegro moderato" by Albrecht Mayer

Strauss's oboe concerto opens with sunlit D-major optimism, Mayer's phrasing both buoyant and burnished. Beneath the allegro's gallant sweep, chromatic shadows flicker—a nostalgic grandeur that feels like a ballroom remembered through a rain-streaked window.
