About "Shostakovich: Piano Quintet in G Minor, Op. 57: III. Scherzo. Allegretto" by Artemis Quartet
Shostakovich's Scherzo is a nervous grin—fast, jagged, and sardonic. The Artemis Quartet attack it with wiry energy, the piano quintet bristling with irony, a joke that lands like a slap.
