About This Song
About "Alouette (Album Version)" by Larry Groce
Groce plucks the feathers from this French-Canadian folk song with precision and delight. The plucked guitar mimics the lark’s fluttering, while the call-and-response structure builds a gentle, participatory tension—a game of mimicry that feels both innocent and oddly competitive.
