About This Song
About "La Virgen de la Macarena" by Damaso Perez Prado
Pérez Prado reimagines the Virgin of Macarena as a mambo queen, her procession a strutting brass line. The track's devotion is playful, almost cheeky—sacred iconography wrapped in percussion, where reverence and revelry spin together in a dizzying dance.
