About This Song
About "Assyrian New Year" by Sargon Youkhanna
Celebration and exile entwine here. Youkhanna frames the Assyrian New Year not as pure joy but as resilience—bright melodic turns shadowed by minor-key undertows. It's a toast raised with a trembling hand, festive on the surface, carrying the weight of survival underneath.
