About "Medley" by Anton Karas
A medley as a carousel: familiar themes spin past in quick succession, each zither phrase a glimpse through a moving window. Karas stitches moods—wry, tender, ominous—into a single breathless ride. The effect is dizzying, like flipping through postcards from a city you can't quite leave.
