About "Palestrina: Missa Aeterna Christi munera: V. Agnus Dei" by James O'Donnell
Palestrina’s 'Agnus Dei' from the Missa Aeterna Christi munera is a study in serene counterpoint. O’Donnell draws out a lamb’s gentleness—voices weaving like incense smoke, the plea for peace suspended in a tension between earthly sorrow and heavenly stillness.
