About "Appalachian Spring (Ballet for Martha): Display of Action" by Aaron Copland
Copland's ballet bursts with pioneer energy as 'Display of Action' unfolds—a vivid tableau of communal labor and kinetic joy. Strings flicker like sunlight through cabin windows, while brass punctuates the air with abrupt, purposeful strides. The tension lies between serene open fifths and sudden rhythmic jolts, a calm landscape interrupted by the shock of building.
