About This Song
About "I Wish" by Angelic Upstarts
Angelic Upstarts deliver a wish that curdles into a sneer. The punk snarl is tempered by a desperate, almost tender plea, as if hope itself is a luxury they can't afford. The song's tension lies in that gap—between the wish and the reality that keeps it out of reach.
