About This Song
About "Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 : Elgar: Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85: 2. Lento - Allegro molto" by Alisa Weilerstein
Elgar’s Lento breaks like storm clouds over a pastoral field, then surges into Allegro molto with restless energy. Weilerstein captures the movement’s dual nature: a nostalgic sigh that suddenly hardens into defiance. The cello becomes a lone figure striding through shifting weather, elegant yet unsettled.
