About This Song
About "Land of Hope & Glory" by Ex Pistols
Ex Pistols torch the patriotic hymn, dragging 'Land of Hope & Glory' through punk's muddy bootheels. The irony is thick as cordite: Elgar's melody becomes a sneer, the riff a match struck against a crumbling flag. Tension between nostalgia and nihilism—a Guy Fawkes bonfire where the only thing burning is the lie of national greatness.
