About This Song
About "A Country Boy (Who Rolled the Rock Away)" by David Allan Coe
Coe spins a wry parable of redemption with a rocking-chair shuffle. The country arrangement is loose and lived-in, but the title's image—a boy rolling away a boulder—carries quiet weight. Faith and humor entwine, never tipping into preachiness.
