About This Song
About "Purcell: O Give Thanks Unto the Lord, Z. 33: III. Remember Me, O Lord" by Charles Daniels
Purcell's verse anthem turns a plea for remembrance into a jeweled miniature. Daniels sings with a courtier's poise, the strings flickering like candlelight on a psalm. The emotional tension is between royal confidence and a beggar's humility—a soul asking not for glory, but for notice.
