About This Song
About "Recorder Sonata in D Minor, HWV 359a, "Fitzwilliam"" by Camerata Köln
The recorder's voice here is both rustic and refined, tracing Handel's 'Fitzwilliam' sonata with a woody, intimate warmth. Camerata Köln navigates the D-minor melancholy with a delicate touch, the continuo a soft, shadowed ground beneath a melody that feels like a whispered confidence.
