About "Salve Regina, HWV 241 : Handel: Salve Regina, HWV 241: Salve Regina" by Arleen Augér
Handel's Salve Regina opens with Augér's voice adrift in a sea of strings, each 'Salve' a wave breaking gently. The mood is supple, almost hesitant—a prayer whispered in a vast cathedral where hope and melancholy share the same breath.
