About This Song
About "Violin Sonata No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 121 : Schumann: Violin Sonata No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 121: II. Sehr lebhaft" by Christian Ferras
Schumann's Sehr lebhaft is a conversation between lovers who speak too fast—urgent, overlapping, full of unspoken need. Ferras teases out the movement's manic joy, the violin and piano chasing each other through harmonic thickets. Beneath the brightness lurks a tremor: happiness this intense always knows it cannot last.
