Night Time Is My Time

I hear the honky tonk alarm about 5 p.m.
And I put a splash of coffee in my mug of gin
There's a good time waitin' on me uptown
Lord, I start to come alive when the sun goes down

Hey, neon is my sunshine
Nighttime is my time of day

Nighttime is my time
That's when I unwind
You'll find a smile on my face
Put another cold beer in my hand
Here in my happy place
Hey, nighttime is my time of day

I'll be the first one there and the last to leave
No, there ain't nobody better at this than me
Better call up a cab about 2 a.m.
'Cause it's time to sober up, hell, I'ma do it again

Hey, neon is my sunshine
Nighttime is my time of day

Nighttime is my time
That's when I unwind
You'll find a smile on my face
Go on and put another cold beer in my hand
Here in my happy place
Oh, nighttime is my time of day

Yeah, nighttime is my time
That's when I unwind
You'll find a smile on my face
Oh, put another cold beer in my hand
Here in my happy place
Hey, nighttime is my time of day

Oh, put another cold beer in my hand
Nighttime is my time of day
