About This Song
About "Adagio in E Major for Violin and Orchestra, K. 261" by Benjamin Schmid
A lullaby distilled to its essence: Schmid's violin floats like a mobile above a crib, each phrase a soft glint of moonlight. Mozart's adagio feels suspended in amber, calm surface hiding a gentle acheâthe quiet longing of a child fighting sleep.
