About "Ego Rock (Live at The Fillmore West, San Francisco, CA - April 1970)" by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Captured live in 1970, 'Ego Rock' is Janis Joplin's feral howl against a wall of acid-blues guitar. The Fillmore West crowd becomes a sweaty congregation as the band stomps through a swaggering riff—pure, unhinged rock and roll ego, beautifully frayed at the edges.
