About "Matthäuspassion, BWV 244: 20. Arie und Chor. "Ich will bei meinem Jesu wachen" (Tenor)" by Charles Daniels

Bach's 'Ich will bei meinem Jesu wachen' is a lullaby for the vigilant. The tenor's aria, cradled by whispering chorus, finds tenderness in the Garden of Gethsemane. There's a fragile beauty here—devotion as a shield against the coming dark.
