Lyrics
Understand why, when life gets hard
You start to cry
Now you can dry all those tears
That comes through fears
With his supply
Laughter does good, just like a medicine
Just like a medicine (oh, oh) just like a medicine
Like a medicine, a medicine
Laughter does good (yes, it does)
Like a medicine (oh, y'all)
Just like a medicine (ooh)
Just like a medicine
Now tomorrow may bring one or two things (ooh)
That you don't like, ooh
And if it does, you can rise above (you can rise above)
And win the fight
One way of winning is laughter
Laughter does good (does good) just like a medicine (just like a medicine)
Just like a medicine (yeah, yeah, oh-yeah)
Just like a medicine (so keep on laughing)
Laughter does good, like a medicine (ooh, like a medicine)
Just like a medicine (and it works, y'all)
Just like a medicine
So when they lie on you (laugh about it)
When they talk about you (laugh about it)
When they scandalize your name (ooh, laugh about it)
That's when you take your (take your medicine)
Let it go down, let it go down (laugh about it)
Let it heal your broken heart (laugh about it)
Laughter will heal your broken heart (ooh, laugh about it)
When you take your (take your medicine)
Now let me hear you laugh, say
(Ha, ha, ha, ha) oh, in the good times (oh-yeah)
(Ha, ha, ha, ha) mostly the bad times (bad times)
(Ha, ha, ha, ha) let it go down (just like a medicine) ooh
Let it go down (ha, ha, ha, ha)
Wipe your tears away
(Ha, ha, ha, ha) come on, wipe your tears away
(Ha, ha, ha, ha) let god wipe your tears away (just like a medicine)
Let it go down, let it go down
Laughter does good, just like a medicine (aid it does good, y'all)
Just like a medicine (said it does good, y'all) ooh
(Just like a medicine) like Pepto-Bismol (just like a medicine)
Say it again, say it again (healing and healing)
Laughter does good, just like a medicine (soothing and healing and soothing)
Just like a medicine (like a medicine)
Just like a medicine (say it one more time)
Laughter does good, just like a medicine (oh, laughter, laugh through your trial)
Just like a medicine
Ooh, just like a medicine
You start to cry
Now you can dry all those tears
That comes through fears
With his supply
Laughter does good, just like a medicine
