About "Peer Gynt, Op. 23, Act V : Grieg: Peer Gynt, Op. 23, Act V: No. 23, Solveig Sings in the Hut" by Barbara Bonney

Solveig's hut song from Grieg's Peer Gynt is a snowbound lullaby of waiting. Bonney strips the melody to its bone, letting warmth and desolation share the same breath—a woman singing into an empty room, her faith a flickering lamp against the Norwegian dark, tender and quietly devastating.
