About "Laudibus in sanctis" by Cambridge Singers
Byrd's motet sets praise ringing through the sanctuary, its imitative lines darting like swallows under a cathedral roof. The Cambridge Singers keep the counterpoint buoyant, never heavy, so the joy feels airborne. Beneath the bright alleluias, a disciplined calm holds everything in place—exultation with architecture.
