About "Tormé: The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting)" by Boston Pops Orchestra
Tormé's The Christmas Song, rendered by the Boston Pops, is a hearth-warm glow—chestnuts roasting in orchestral amber. Yet beneath the nostalgia, a quiet melancholy, as if memory itself is being roasted. It's comfort and longing in equal measure, a holiday classic with a bittersweet edge.
