About "Fanta" by Baaba Maal
A bright, citrus-orange swirl of Senegalese mbalax guitar and sabar percussion, 'Fanta' fizzes with celebratory sweetness. Beneath the jubilant groove, a subtle yearning lingers, like a toast raised to absent friends. Baaba Maal's soaring vocal turns a simple name into a bittersweet incantation.
