About This Song
About "Blue Christmas" by Big Al Downing
Downing strips the holiday standard of its tinsel, leaving a lonely blue bulb flickering in a dark room. The countrypolitan arrangement sighs with quiet desperation, a Christmas wish that never arrives. It's a seasonal song for those who find the mistletoe more thorn than kiss.
