About This Song
About "An Irish Lullaby (Suantraí Gaelach)" by Barry Douglas
A suantraí that rocks the listener on a tide of soft fifths and suspended chords. Douglas lets the lullaby’s simplicity hover between safety and sorrow, each phrase a cradle that might also be a boat drifting from shore. Tender, but never saccharine.
