About This Song
About "Praeludium and Allegro in the Style of Pugnani (Arr. for Violin & Strings by John Webber): I. Praeludium" by Benjamin Schmid
Kreisler's 'Praeludium' (in the style of Pugnani) opens with stately Baroque gravity. Benjamin Schmid's violin unfurls long, noble lines, a prelude to something grand. The music feels like a curtain rising on an 18th-century drama, calm on the surface but charged with anticipatory tension.
