About "Johann Sebastian Bach: Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, BWV 106 - I. "Sonatina"" by Anton Dermota
Bach’s funeral cantata opens with a sonatina of profound stillness. Dermota’s ensemble draws out the slow, grave beauty—strings sighing like mourners at a graveside. The calm is absolute, yet beneath it, a trembling anticipation of eternity’s threshold.
