About "Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 : Elgar: Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85: 1. Adagio - Moderato (Live)" by Alisa Weilerstein
Elgar’s concerto opens with a sigh—Weilerstein’s cello speaks of faded grandeur and private grief. The live recording captures a raw, breathing intimacy, the Adagio unfolding like a letter never sent. There’s nobility here, but also a trembling vulnerability.
