About This Song
About "1. Aria from Cantata No. 51 "Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen", BWV 51" by Anthony Newman
Bach’s cantata aria for soprano and trumpet becomes a duet of jubilation and vulnerability. Newman’s accompaniment is crisp and ceremonial, while the vocal line leaps like a lark—radiant praise shadowed by the sheer athletic fragility of the human voice.
