About This Song
About "Govinda Hari" by Alice Coltrane
Coltrane's ensemble chants a name for the divine over a bed of modal jazz, the harp's shimmer cutting through like dawn light. The piece breathes with a calm urgency, its devotional repetition slowly building to a quiet, ecstatic release. A meditative groove with a hidden pulse.
