About "Elijah, Op. 70, MWV A 25, Pt. 1: No. 19, Hilf deinem Volk, du Mann Gottes! - Öffne den Himme (Live)" by Bayerisches Staatsorchester
Mendelssohn's Elijah, live, finds the prophet crying for divine intervention. The chorus and orchestra swell like a tide against a cliff—'Hilf deinem Volk' is a plea hurled at heaven's closed door, urgent and unadorned, faith trembling on the edge of silence.
