About This Song
About "Eleventh Commandment - Original" by Barbara Pittman
A rockabilly sermon with a wink, 'Eleventh Commandment' finds Pittman preaching a gospel of restless desire. The twangy lead and handclap rhythm frame a vocal that's equal parts temptation and warning. The title's irony lands like a neon sign flickering over a juke joint: sin never felt so righteous.
