About "Stabat Mater, P. 77 : Pergolesi: Stabat Mater, P. 77: VIII. Duet. Fac, ut ardeat cor meum" by Academy Of Ancient Music

Pergolesi's duet burns with a quiet, smoldering intensity—two voices circling each other in aching harmony. The text's plea for a flaming heart is set against a backdrop of restrained grief, a tension between sacred ardor and human sorrow that never quite resolves.
