About "Set" by Cheikh Lô
A single syllable becomes a rhythmic anchor, the title 'Set' unfurling like a drumhead struck once and left to ring. Cheikh Lô threads mbalax guitar lines through a humid calm, each note a pebble dropped in still water—tension between restraint and release, the quiet before a groove blooms.
