About "Visa (Alternate Take)" by Charlie Parker Septet
An alternate take of 'Visa' reveals the septet's rhythmic elasticity. The theme unfolds like a stamped passport, each solo a new destination. There's a buoyant unease here, a sense of motion that never settles, as if the band is perpetually packing for a journey just out of reach.
