About "The Third Man Theme" by Anton Karas
The definitive Third Man theme, Karas's zither is both invitation and warning. Its catchy, repetitive pluck has a hypnotic pull, but the underlying dissonance suggests a world of black markets and betrayal. It's the sound of a smile that doesn't reach the eyes.
