About This Song
About "Galuppi: La gelosia: II. Aria. "Bei labbri, che Amore formò per suo nido"" by Artaserse
Galuppi paints Cupid's nest on a lover's lips with gossamer strings and Artaserse's silken tone. The aria hovers between flirtation and warning, a kiss that might sting. The voice's delicate ornamentation feels like a caress, yet the harmonic shadows hint at the jealousy lurking beneath the sweetness.
