About This Song
About "It's In His Kiss (The Shoop Shoop Song) - Original" by Betty Everett
This original version shimmers with a different intimacy than the hit—slightly slower, more vulnerable, the backing vocals like a conspiratorial huddle. Everett's voice holds a flicker of uncertainty beneath the knowing lyric, making the kiss a question as much as an answer. It's the sound of a secret being tested.
