About This Song
About "Jolivet : Cello Concerto No.1 : I Méditatif" by André Jolivet
The first movement of Jolivet's Cello Concerto is aptly titled 'Méditatif'—a deep, brooding meditation. The cello's voice emerges like a figure from fog, suspended between lyricism and dissonance. It's music of interiority, where calm and disquiet share the same breath.
