About This Song
About "Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 : J.S. Bach: Goldberg Variations, BWV 988: 1. Aria" by Catrin Finch
The opening Aria of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, on harp, becomes a slow, ceremonial breath. Finch lets each ornament bloom and fade, turning the familiar theme into a meditation on stillness. Beneath the poise, a subtle longing stirs—order as a form of ache.
